Mini Saanen goats are known to be high producing, mellow, hearty dairy breed. Usually found in all white with some amount of black freckles on nose, udder and ears. Some may be of the Sable coloring as it is gaining more popularity. They are a great starter goat as they are known to be easy to handle and less "rowdy" as some of the other breeds. They tend tho give a high volume of milk tho it contains less butterfat, so it will not have the deep creamy flavor of other goats and will not make the same volume of cheese per gallon as some of the other breeds. Adding Nigerian into the lineage to create a Mini Saanen will add richness to the milk without sacrificing production. Our foundation standard sized doe Bunny comes from a long line of milking does and possesses great confirmation and udder structure. She remains a strong contender in the Bonner County Fair, and has several ribbons to show. Her offspring have proven to be as delightful. If you're interested in learning more, please contact us.
