DaisyBelle came to us when she was three days old. The seller told us she was three moths old and weaned. Sadly that was a lie. She had been lying in a cess pool of manure and had ringworm. She had also gotten pneumonia. The brand inspector/vet took a look at her and told us she wasn't going to make the 2 hour drive home. However, she did. Not long after that, she got naval ill and joint ill. This poor calf was having an extremely rough start in life but we stuck with her and got her the care she needed. Again, DaisyBelle was fighting for her life when our farm sitter wasn't cautious and cut the opening in the bottle tip too big. She began aspirating. Thankfully a friend sped up to the house, crashing through our gates and jumping the fence, to do CPR and she once again survived.
She had been doing wonderful until about a month or so ago, when chicken grain had been dumped over the fence in her area causing her to bloat so bad that it was cutting off her breathing. We quickly called the vet and thanks to many people who helped pay for the not optional surgery, DaisyBelle had her rumen cut open. She is happy and healthy today and she has proved that nothing will stop from living a happy life.
Every gift helps! Did you know just $10 can vaccinate fifty goats? It could feed an entire litter of incoming kittens? Treat parasites on an entire herd of goats? Really, every bit helps!
A gold level sponsor would give the animals more than we can even list here! Food for the bellies, medications for the owies, a visit to the vet, INCREDIBLE amounts of care could be provided at this level of sponsorship.
A sponsorship at this level could provide almost HALF of TON of feed for the animals Yes HALF a ton! I could also provide a hay to last over two months! We work closely with nutritionists to make sure the animals get the care they need while maximizing your support dollars!
