Button came to us only hours old. She and her litter mates were sadly discovered after the mother had been euthanized due to prolapsed intestines because of complications in delivery. The attending veterinarian believed the only kittens were the ones still inside, deceased. Imagine the horror when the grieving owner found the litter of cold, hungry, wet babies crying in a closet corner. We rushed to town late at night to gather these precious babies and begin fighting for them. Feedings every hour, heated towels and blankets and more kisses than we can count! Most of the kittens survived tho sadly three just couldn't pull through despite intensive care. Button and her two sisters though, fought long and hard! The round the clock care and love were enough for them and they not only survived, but thrived.
A VERY kind and appreciated supporter called in a generous gift to the local feed store and we could worry less about the cost of the high quality formula and medications and instead worry about saving these babes! The sisters found a great home with a self confessed kooky cat lady and are the apple of her eye. Little Button though, remains here to remind us that the work and struggle are worth every bit! One soft purr, a flick of the tail and a glance in those eyes tell us we are right where we are meant to be. It's support from folks like Buttons guardian angel's call to the feed store that let us know we're blessed! If you want to be one of those blessed angels animals like Button would forever be grateful!
Every gift helps! Did you know just $10 can vaccinate fifty goats? It could feed an entire litter of incoming kittens? Treat parasites on an entire herd of goats? Really, every bit helps!
A gold level sponsor would give the animals more than we can even list here! Food for the bellies, medications for the owies, a visit to the vet, INCREDIBLE amounts of care could be provided at this level of sponsorship.
A sponsorship at this level could provide almost HALF of TON of feed for the animals Yes HALF a ton! I could also provide a hay to last over two months! We work closely with nutritionists to make sure the animals get the care they need while maximizing your support dollars!
